A few words about Tinos
Tinos is the third largest island of the Cyclades. It has an area of 197 kilometers and 8,611 permanent residents.
It is the closest island to Mykonos, only 9 nautical miles away, as well as Delos and Rhenia.
The routes from Tinos to Mykonos and the rest of the Cyclades are daily and regular. It received its name from its first settler, Tinos, leader of the Ionian settlers who first settled on the island.
Also, the island is called “Hydrousa” because of the abundant tree cover and even “Snake” because of the number of snakes.
